AN EXHIBITION OF FILM INSPIRED GRAPHIC ART BY SCOTT WOOLSTON

Scott Woolston's solo exhibition 'FILMISM' is a collection of graphic art and illustration all heavily influenced by the iconic language of the film poster.

As a Graphic Artist he has worked for nearly 20 years in the film industry as a 'Key Artist' and 'Film Poster' Designer. Working on a range of films from small British independent releases… The Selfish Giant, Sightseers, '71 and Daphne to larger upscale Hollywood blockbusters… Victor Frankenstein, Jason Bourne, Crimson Peak and Atomic Blonde.

Scott's personal works take on a more illustrative, screen print style, inspired by his love of film, graphic design and illustration. Some of the artwork takes a direct influence from films that you may recognise whilst others are more genre based or loosely linked to cinematic themes… A flight of fantasy, hopes, dreams, fears, nightmares…smoke and mirrors.

The prints in this exhibition are a mixture of pre-photomontage film inspired art and modern digital art techniques.
