Live at The Piece Hall is proud to present Grammy award-winning singer songwriter Father John Misty in a UK exclusive headline show, with special guests Edwyn Collins, Frightened Rabbit, Hookworms and The Orielles.

Father John Misty has enjoyed much critical acclaim following the release of his award-winning third album ‘Pure Comedy’, including winning a Grammy award this year for Best Recording Package. Recent live appearances include a headline performance at End of the Road Festival, and a sold out headline tour in late 2017.

Joining Father John Misty at our first major music event will be:

Singer Edwyn Collins, best known for his tenure fronting the Scottish pop revivalists Orange Juice as well as his international solo hit "A Girl Like You”.

Frightened Rabbit, who celebrated the 10-year anniversary of the release of the seminal album ‘Midnight Organ Fight’ in 2017. They will bring their clever but purposefully naïve pop music to the beautiful backdrop of The Piece Hall.

Leeds/Halifax based psychedelic noise rock band Hookworms who have just released their first new work in three years in album ‘Microshift’, and will add their signature sound of euphoric catharsis to this one of a kind bill.

Halifax’s fast-rising The Orielles, hailed as one of the most exciting young bands in the country right now. Their sound is tinged by influences from 90s alternative rock bands Sonic Youth and Pixies and their debut album ‘Silver Dollar Moment’ was released in February 2018 to much critical acclaim.

The lineup of live music will be complimented by pop-up bars serving craft beers and local street food favourites across the day, alongside our resident independents. The event will take place in The Piece Hall's outdoor courtyard surrounded by the building's magnificent Grade I listed architecture.

Tickets also available in person or over the phone at The Piece Hall Welcome Centre.

A limited number of Premium Tickets are available for this event with the additional benefits of fast track private entry, access to the covered upper balcony areas and exclusive access to the Premium Balcony Bar and toilet facilities.
