This September, The Piece Hall courtyard becomes the stage for a spectacular evening featuring a fairytale herd of glowing white horses in FierS à Cheval. These giant luminous puppets are the handiwork of French outdoor theatre specialists Compagnie des Quidams. The magnificent dancing horses are the centrepiece of a dreamlike, playful night-time show suitable for all the family, accompanied by beautiful music and lights.

We are looking for a team of volunteers to be a part of the performance to help lead the artists through the crowd. You would need to be available for both events and stay for the duration to support the artists.

Benefits include:

  • An opportunity to learn from an established theatre company who have created more than a dozen performances in over 40 countries.
  • Experience a performance rehearsal, meet some of the artists and help make this magical performance come to life.
  • Gain an insight into puppetry mechanics and fanastical costumes.
  • An opportunity to visit The Piece Hall, a 250 year-old historic cloth hall and important Halifax landmark.

To apply, please click here.

You will need to be available for:

  • Volunteer briefing on Friday 6 September, 3.30pm - 4.30pm
  • Rehearsal on Thursday 12 September, time TBC (afternoon)
  • Both events, Friday 13 September & Saturday 14 September 6pm - 11pm

If you have any questions, please contact Jo Fullman on 01422 525219 or via email.
