Christmas is just two weeks away so if you haven’t already, it’s time the perfect time to be making plans with family and friends. Our Salon Perdu shows got off to a spectacular start last week thanks to Circus of Horrors, Annette Gregory and JQT The James Taylor Quartet – and there’s plenty more where that came from!

Damian Gough, better known as Badly Drawn Boy, brings his dulcet tones across the Pennines to perform hits from his Mercury Prize winning debut ‘The Hour of The Wilderbeast’ as well as his four subsequent studio albums and three film soundtracks. There is only a handful of tickets left, so get yours while you can!

The Piece Hall’s resident record shop Loafers hosts its second annual Christmas gig Loafers Presents in the Salon Perdu. Fresh off tour with Paul Weller, eight-piece Stone Foundation headline the gig with Steve Pilgrim, Andy Crofts and Kascarade completing the line-up.

Dancing Queens, Super Troupers and Chiquititas can get on their best 70s outfit ready to dance the night away to ABBA’s greatest hits, courtesy of the UK’s number one ABBA tribute band ABBA Revival. Grab your tickets for what’s set to be one of the most fun-filled nights the Salon Perdu has ever seen.

Dig out your neon and spandex and get ready to party on down at the Eighties Dance Party. You’ll hear all the best 80s hits, from Aha to Wham, Bananarama to Cyndi Lauper and everything in between! All profits from the night will be donated to Healthy Minds, Calderdale’s local mental health charity.

Bingo, music, prizes, dancing grannies, lip-syncing, dance offs and air guitaring. Sound like your kind of night out? Then Indeedy Musical Bingo will be right up your street! Join us in the Salon Perdu for what is sure a night of top laughs and mega fun.

Kids can join our Heritage & Learning team in helping our Victorian housekeepers transform The Piece Hall ready for the festive season in our Winter Wonderland Workshops. Huddle round the fireplace for a story, play some Victorian games, create a beautiful handmade gift to take home and end the day with a delicious chocolate treat.

Adults shouldn’t get to have all the laughs, so to keep little ones entertained we’re hosting a Kids Comedy Club in the Salon Perdu. Featuring three top comedians from the world comedy circuit, the Kids Comedy Club is similar in atmosphere to an adult comedy club but without the grown-up themes or swearing, making it the perfect festive family day out.

The whole family can come on down to the Salon Perdu and boogie to the best hits from across the decades at the Family Silent Disco. Live DJs will be playing a huge range of tunes to keep everyone dancing, from pop and rock to dance, guilty pleasures and party classics.

Back by popular demand following last year’s barnstorming show, Martin Mor brings his brand-new show Stringy Thing to The Piece Hall. Guaranteed to make both kids and adults howl with laughter, Martin will entertain and surprise you with his mega repertoire of funniness.
