A Banquet Fit for a Queen Workshop
Join us for a creative kid’s workshop exploring The Piece Hall’s edible past and find out about the large Victorian banquet that took place at The Piece Hall in 1838 to mark Queen Victoria’s coronation. Meet our character in costume as a Victorian hostess, who will take you through the different courses of a Victorian banquet and the etiquette of attending an event in the late 19th century. And get ready to create some artistic food courses with our drawing and sculpting activities.
This event is part of the National Heritage Open Days Festival, encouraging visitors to discover more about local history.
ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
Workshop last 1 hour and take place at 10.30am, 12.30pm and 2pm.
Suitable for ages 5+
Due to restrictions on numbers and available space, we kindly ask that adults take time to enjoy The Piece Hall during the workshop. All workshop leaders and volunteers are DBS checked.
