The Piece Hall's 2nd Anniversary Celebration 1 August 2019

It's The Piece Hall's 2nd Anniversary since re-opening and it's also Yorkshire Day, so what two better reasons to come and join us for a day of celebrations?

Our courtyard will be transformed into a free afternoon street party for all the community, with tea, cake and tasty treats available to purchase for all to enjoy. There'll be lots of fun activities for all the family to join in on, such as crafts, games, face painting and more.

Live music will come from the Backchat Brass Band with performances at 12pm and 2.30pm, interspersed with a vibrant display from Tohr Paniabian Di Bhangra-Dancers at 3.30pm to get everyone on their feet.

Yorkshire Day also sees the launch of local artist Chris Mould's new illustrated book, The Iron Man by Ted Hughes. Another great reason to celebrate! To mark this occasion, The Piece Hall and The Library will be hosting special workshops and readings around the official launch.
