Executive Assistant to Chief Executive (Maternity Cover)


Department: CEO

Location: The Piece Hall, Halifax

Salary Scale: £25-28k (depending on experience)

Hours: Full time (37 hrs per week including some evening and weekend work)

Contract: Up to 12 months (maternity cover)

Purpose of the Job 

This is a key role for the smooth flowing and effectiveness of the organisation’s CEO office. The post holder will provide high quality EA support for the Chief Executive and will also provide a general co-ordinating role for the Executive Team, Board of Trustees and Executive Committee.

The EA function will cover diary and correspondence management for the CEO and COO, minute taking and distribution, meeting and hospitality organisation, arrangement of the CEO’s travel, accommodation and expenses claims, and performing a welcome host role to key partners and clients. They will also manage any general administration for the CEO including maintaining an efficient filing system for key documents. The post holder will become very familiar with all the functions and requirements of the organisation and key stakeholders, and should be able to help with the effectiveness and efficiency of the CEO’s workflow and time management.

The post holder will attend and take minutes for the various Board and committee meetings and assist the Chair with co-ordinating Board meetings and distribution of papers.

Some weekend and public holiday working, and a DBS check may be required.
