The Halifax

The Halifax, which is part of the Lloyds Banking Group, has provided funding for a new community PA system, which comprises of high quality microphones, speakers, stands, a mixing desk and amplifiers. The equipment will be used for The Piece Hall’s extensive programme of events, which promises local choirs, musicians, poets, street acts and comedians throughout the year

Russell Galley, Managing Director of Halifax commented, “As a local business with many of our colleagues and customers living in Halifax we’re keen to support local community projects. The Piece Hall plays in important part in attracting tourists to the town and I’m looking forward to joining the many visitors enjoying the atmosphere in the months and years to come.”

Head of Events, Molly Rigg said, “The Piece Hall will be a destination for a variety of events from large scale outdoor film screenings and music concerts, to smaller community focused activity, such as performance and fairs which will bring The Piece Hall to life.  The PA system provided by Halifax Bank will ensure that we can provide a high quality of equipment to stage these activities and events for the community, animating the courtyard and bringing people into the centre of Halifax once again.”
